Digital Single Market Challenges

In this year, the Institute for Digital Economy is preparing a series of workshop dealing with up-to-date challenges of the Digital Single Market policy. With kind support of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung six workshops will be held through the year: general regulation on data protection, net neutrality, protection of online competition, platforms and operability, digital contrats and copyright reform. For each of the above mentioned topis a special working paper will be presented, edited by Jan Klesla, economic editor of the Czech daily newspaper "Lidové noviny".
The working paper will be structured as follows:

  • topic introduction and summary
  • description of current EU legislation
  • description of relevant foreign legislations that might be an inspiration for the Czech position
  • potencial legal and economical impact of EU legislation in countries abroad
  • description of Czech legislation
  • legal and economic impact of EU regulation on the Czech market
  • possibilities for solutions and recommendation

During each workshop the relevant working paper will be discussed with state administration representatives and market representatives and a position document will be prepared to be used for further negociations and education.
