Jana Adamcova spoke at Employment Forum conference on Nov 24, 2020.
We are looking forward. Current trends indicate how the future will look like – not in a year, two or five, but in the long term. We can anticipate how the development and accession of new economic models will form both existing and emerging industries. Despite radical changes that will lead to demise of some professions and emergence of new ones, we can see a great opportunity in the future.
Jana Adamcova spoke at Employment Forum conference on Nov 24, 2020.
Both digital economy and cultural and creative industries belong to so called emerging industries. They are based mainly on digital technologies and often form brand new value chains.
Digital economy is a part of economy based on digital technologies. Thanks to development and innovations, this segment of industry produces new solutions and services for both the industry and the society. Its contribution to the Czech GDP is estimated to 9 %.
Cultural and creative industries emerged from a new wave of technological innovations mainly in the field of digital world and internet. As a matter of fact, a new type of culture has been established. Thanks to new technologies, users ceased to be only passive recipients and became active content creators, processing audio, video, photographs etc. and presenting their work online. This way, a new market based on creativity and spreading cultural innovations was created.
